mdbSelect problem with appendToBody

Expected behavior

I was expecting to be able to select an element from the dropdown

Actual behavior

When I open the dropdown and select a value, it doesnt select it. On the DOM I can see that the value is not filled. If I remove the "appendToBody" it works

Btw, there is a typo on documentation: https://i.imgur.com/xEzDTLN.png
