Topic: MDBSelect component not displaying the preselected option

tundeojerinde asked 4 years ago

Expected behavior When MDBSelect is used with a pre-selected value, the provided option should be selected by default

Actual behavior It doesn't select the option supplied to it. It selects the default option (mostly the first item in the array options

How do you define the options list? Here's a correct example:

const options1 = ref([
  { text: "One", value: 1 },
  { text: "Two", value: 2 },
  { text: "Three", value: 3 },
  { text: "Four", value: 4 },
  { text: "Five", value: 5, selected: true },
  { text: "Six", value: 6 },
  { text: "Seven", value: 7 },
  { text: "Eight", value: 8 },
]);

Actually it's described in the first section: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/b5/vue/forms/select/#section-basic-example
