Integration MDB 7.2 into Rails 7 with importmap.

Topic: Integration MDB 7.2 into Rails 7 with importmap.

Hi Team,

I have been using MDB version 3.4.0 as below, integrating in a very traditional way. (I am not so happy with this...)

mdb.min.js

MDB5 Version: PRO 3.4.0

Integrating something like this.

toppage.html

<script type="text/javascript" src="/js/mdb.min.js"></script>

File names (JS type) are different to the past

~ % ls rails/MDB5-STANDARD-UI-KIT-Pro-Essential-7.2.0/js

chart.es.min.js mdb.es.min.js mdb.umd.min.js<br>chart.es.min.js.map mdb.es.min.js.map mdb.umd.min.js.map

Here are my questions;

  • which one is the file that can be used in the same way as in the past. (I guess mdb.umd.min js...?)

  • Is there a better way to integrate to Rails 7 with importmap.

  • Are there any possibility that current CSS will break if I upgrade from PRO 3.4.0 to 7.2

Best Regards,

There were few major changes between v3 and v7. Biggest was in v7 where we changed init attributes. If you want to advance to it v7.2.0 you can use mdb.umd.min.js but it will require changes in your project. Easier version that you can advance to would be 6.4.2
