Topic: Video embedding works great with chrome, not with FF
p.sandkuehler pro premium priority asked 5 years ago
I have included the video playback in a modal into my website (which is currently not available to the public) and set the source url to a mp4 which is located on the same webserver (~50mb). I tested it with both Chrome and FF and noticed, that the video playback on Chrome worked like a charm, while Firefox would load the page, and kept displaying the loading animation in the tab. The video would not show up, just displaying a white frame. However, if I copy the url into a new tab in Firefox, it loads and displays the video as expected. And placing a normal html tag with the same source instead of the modal works as intended as well. Do you have any idea what I could try to fix this issue? I use nginx as a webserver for serving the static mp4 file. Kind regards, Phil
