Giving an 'error' style to a material-select object

Topic: Giving an 'error' style to a material-select object

pro asked 7 years ago

I would like to give the object a pinkish color when the required material-select drop down has not been selected.

I looked at https://mdbootstrap.com/javascript/material-select/ but did not see a style for this.

does anything exist?

Thanks!

meaning - when a field which is mandatory is not filled - you can style it with red border or background to shoe the user is not filled yet. like here: https://ibb.co/m5gRt6 i would suggest in material-select to do a red border bottom or something, to fit into the current styles. does that explain it?

Hi,

there was a similar question here: https://mdbootstrap.com/support/material-select-validation/. We don't have functionality like this now but we will think about adding this option to our material select.

Best,

Marta

Thanks. I think this is a very important element. especially as you have something like this for text inputs, "error and success messages" section of https://mdbootstrap.com/components/inputs/#input-fields thanks!
