Material select and virtual dom

Topic: Material select and virtual dom

hotbelgo asked 9 years ago

I'm using the PRO version with Elm, which uses virtual dom. I have set my code up such that once the virtual dom changes have been implemented in DOM I call $('select').material_select();. That works fine. My problem is that I want to be able to add and remove selects on my page as the user takes further actions. As a result, I have have to recall jQuery, and that starts causing visual problems Screenshot What recommendations do you have? (Is there a way of 'turning off' the previous material_select() so that I can re-run it safely?)

I have to admit our select is something we need to improve. We'll take a look at it, but for now the only thing I can advice you is to use a default select:

How long will that take, or can I get my money back - select was the only reason I bought the PRO version?

I can also provide a repo for you to work with to ensure better Elm compatibility if you want
