License question

esec pro premium priority asked 5 years ago

Hello, I have a question about licensing and using MDBootstrap. Let's create some web application (such as a forum) that will include an MDB and I want to sell it commercially. All MDB files will be stored on my web server, and the app will access them via an external link to my site (e.g. css: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://my.site.com/lib/mdb/mdb.min.css">). Can I do this while not violating your license? (Please note, do not write toxic responses, they are so useless...). Thank you in advance for your reply, I wish you a nice rest of the day.

Hello,

If you will provide cross-origin than you can go for it.

If you have further questions, please let us know.

Best, Mateusz

Hello @esec,

will you host it or share it in the form of some packages/zip?

Best regards, Mateusz

Hello, as I wrote, the MDB Pro files will be stored on my server and the site will be linked to them by external links. For CSS it will be <link> and for JS <script>. But it won't work like a full CDN, because Cross-origin will only be set up for those sites where the system was sold, other sites won't be able to use the files. Specified: Customers will be able to buy eg. forum system, which I programmed but its appearance will be used MDB Pro. Each page in my system will have external links to CSS and JS to my web space in the following format: E. g. For CSS <link rel = "stylesheet" href = "https://my.website.com/mdb/mdb.min.css"> For JS <script src = "https://my.website.com/mdb/mdb.min.js">, while Cross-origin on these MDBs Pro files will only be allowed on the pages my customer has purchased (page to purchase at the time of purchase) to prevent the use of these links as a CDN of MDBootstrap Pro. Therefore, MDB Pro files will not be distributed with the rest of the system in a ZIP file.

Well thank you. Of course, it will be clearly indicated that the application uses MDB Pro. Have a nice rest of the day.
