Integration with Visual Studio

Topic: Integration with Visual Studio

Joe Yong asked 8 years ago

Hello, We love what we see so far with MDB, and would like to know what is the best way/practice to integrate MDB into our project in Visual Studio without breaking Bootstrap (or overwriting it)? Thank you. Joe

I have done two articles that could be useful for people trying to integrate the great MDBootstrap into ASP.NET MVC projects! There are also ready to use templates you can download from GitHub!

Ready to use ASP.NET MVC Templates from MDB and how to integrate them

Hi, Joe! Could you please provide us more details? What do you mean by integration with Visual Studio?

I would like to know this also.  More in the lines of how do we add it to an .net core 2.0 Angular SPA template.  Do i have to manually install it like i have in the past with just an mvc razor site or do i have to do something else?  I know you have the MDB for angular now but that came out after the Pro version i bought which is the jQuery version.  Can i use that version for this type of template in Visual Studio?  Thanks in advanced.

I have used my MDB Pro Big Bundle jQuery version that I purchased back in July, in 2 of my ASP.NET 4.7 Web Forms apps successfully and works perfectly with any Masterpage/Content pages I have running in each. I just copied all relevant files from MDB to the root of my apps and configured the appropriate links etc. to the source files and works fine. I have had to mess with some of the server controls to make them perform the way I would like to but overall it is simple to incorporate using Bootstrap 4 and the latest jquery etc. I am still working out the bundling and minification of these to work with the existing asp.net BundleConfig and ScriptManager. I am using the MDB SideNav and Top navBar in my new asp.net web forms app and it works like a charm. My apps have references to both MVC and WebAPI for other tasks that the site is used for. If I can help in any way, please feel free to leave me a message and I will help where possible :) ... cheers
