browser incompatibility

Chris Sweeney pro premium asked 6 years ago

Hi When I view the following page in Chrome, everything works as expected; https://www.rotary-ribi.org/districts/home.php?su=rotary-in-southern-wales However, if I view it in Edge (not from choice!!), the full page image is just a narrow strip, as shown number 1 on the attached screenshotEdge view When viewed in Firefox, the image takes ages to download, and the screen jumps around whilst doing so. Also, the areas numbered 2 in the screenshot are inset - the container width appears to be narrower that the carousel above it - even though both are col-md-12. Hope you can help me resolve these issues. Thanks Chris

Hi, sorry, but I cannot open your website in FireFox browser. But I see in chrome console that you have a lot of errors. Please, try to fix them first. Best, Marta

Hi Marta Thanks - the server was having some problems earlier - I think it's ok now.  I have cleared the error in the google console - they were all related to roboto font being in the wrong folder. Cheers CHris

Actually, just found an error relating to mdb.min.js - "missing ) after argument list"

BTW - I though I was on Premium support; perhaps it's run out - but I can't see a way to enable this.

Hi,
  1. About premium support, please write to f.kapusta@mdbootstrap.com. He will help you with that problem.
  2. I also think you would solve some of your problems if you updated the MDB package to the newest version 4.5.12.
  3. Now, I see your website completely normal, they display well both on Chrome and Firefox. Which version of FireFox do you use?
Best, Marta

Hi Marta Will do. I have updated to the latest mdb version, but it makes no difference; Firefox v 62.0.3 (64-bit): still takes several seconds for the fullscreen image to download, meanwhile the screen jumps around whilst downloading. In Edge, only a thin strip of the fullscreen image is displayed, as in the original screenshot. Cheers Chris

Hi, would you send me any file or project to m.szymanska@mdbootstrap.com to let me open your project in an editor and inspect why you have these problems? I don't see any problems in FireFox and Edge with our intros or landing pages, e.g. https://mdbootstrap.com/previews/templates/landing-page/html/Landing-Page-Creative.html. I'll try to help you. Best, Marta

Thanks Marta Message sent. I have also bought the premium support - it's certainly worth it! Cheers Chris

Hi, I see your message and I'll try to help you.  Do you use the newest version of MDB - 4.5.12, right? I'll check your files in our newest clean package. Best, Marta
