Furthermore. it looks like the project created using old ver 7.2.0 and not ver 8
How can I create a project for ver 8 ?

Sorry for your inconveniences, it should be fixed in the nearest release

Do you have a date ?
Sebastian Kaczmarek staff pro premium commented 5 years ago
It should be released before the end of July

Any news regarding ver 8 support ?

The work is in progress. As I said, it should be released before the end of July

July ended 17 days ago

Oh, sorry for the mistake. The OP has reported two issues at the same time in one post and I got confused. The "end of July" response was about the "mdb cli init failed" issue - and it's been already resolved. The other case, version 8 support, is planned for the future releases so I have to ask you for patience.

I don't like to say that, but I cannot give you any strict deadline for that. We have a ton of other features to add and fixes to make, also in other projects. Sorry about that. I'll get back to you as soon as it'll be available

I'm having the exact same problem... I wanted to install and test this out before purchasing a pro upgrade, but this sounds like it won't be possible to actually use it for another couple of weeks if I do?
Is there any other option to install this and try it out? There seems to be a lot of issues here and being able to install and use it seems like one that should have been sorted a long time back?
Am I missing something?

I am not really sure what would you like to test out before purchasing a pro upgrade. MDB CLI is still in beta so I have to ask you for patience. If you want to try MDB Pro, then you should try our Snippets tool: https://mdbootstrap.com/snippets/ (currently, only jQuery and Vue supported). If you are thinking of MDB CLI Pro - there's no such thing. Do you have any other questions?
