Dropdown Component is very slow on Edge

Topic: Dropdown Component is very slow on Edge

Well, slowly but steadily we're pushing towards the finishing line with out project. Things look pretty, the functionalities we wanted to implement are also great. Heck, if we wanted to we could actually even release it on Internet Explorer 11 (however, that would require us to rewrite some array methods). Very responsive, sharp and quick. On Edge - from a technical standpoint - it appears to work. Everything is rendered just fine, albeit somewhat slowly, but... It seems to have genuine issues with the dropdown the more items it has. Something that didn't seem to faze Internet Explorer 11. I'm fully aware that I'm using a fairly old version of MDB at this point, but I'm somewhat hesitant to update MDB just for the off-change that it MIGHT make thingsbetter. So I wanted to know, if this has been a known issue that was fixed in future interations?

Dear ak.leimrey, I have tried to reproduce your problem with slow dropdown animation on Edge, and I didn't notice such problem. Could you please provide me a video on which you're showing the animation on Edge and another browser (Firefox / Chrome)? It would help me to debug the problem. It seems that you're using 5.2.3 version. I have tested it on 6.2.3, so maybe that's the case? Could you check, if your problem exists with the latest version of MDB Angular? Best Regards, Damian

I downloaded the 6.2.3 version for a quick test for an empty project. While it seems better, the input lag is still significant in comparison to the example on the page. The first link is how crisp and quick the input in registered and closes on the example page here on MDB https://gyazo.com/62517fcf0b3de718e6b15c73f0673f34 The second one is in an empty new project https://gyazo.com/e06b66156d93efa4fbf35b4720386443 The difference seems subtle at first, but it's still roughly half a second until the dropdown closes when an item is clicked. It makes the application feel somewhat laggy.

Dear ak.leimrey, The second link shows the proper behavior of our Material Select component. This "lag" is there on every browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera). And it's not a bug. This is how our Material Select actually works, and you can do nothing with it. Best Regards, Damian
