Topic: Advanced search doesn't appear to correctly filter columns
Peter Sedivec asked 2 years ago
Expected behavior
When looking at the MDB documentation it states that you should be able to search specific columns using the following Phrase in:column1,column2
. Searching the table for for Edinburgh
returns 4 records where it matches in the Office
column. Searching with the following Edinburgh in:Office
returns nothing, I'd expect it to return the same 4 results

Actual behavior Returns nothing

Hello, I couldn't recreate this issue. Could you please provide an example code?

Seeing the same in the example page https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/standard/data/datatables/#section-advanced-search
Toyko in:Office returns nothing

There is a typo in your search phrase in the
Tokyo
word. The search will not start automatically in this case. Please make sure to confirm the search using the enter key or by clicking on the search button.I tested the advanced search both in our documentation and in the Angular application and I could not find any problems with this example. I used both phrases mentioned in this thread:
Edinburgh in:Office
andTokyo in:Office
.
